While the issue of gender imbalance within the global tech industry remains a hot button topic, this year's Dublin Tech Summit will tackle the subject directly via their Women In Tech initiative.
Following a positive response to the inaugural Women In Tech initiative at last year's Dublin Tech Summit, their 2018 event - which takes place at Dublin's CCD on April 18th and 19th - will showcase the benefits of gender diversity in the tech industries, especially across sectors such as Innovation, FinTech, Big Data, Cyber Security and Music Tech.

To this end, the DTS programme includes a number of prominent female innovators, among them Duena Blomstrom (Chief Growth Officer at Temenos Marketplace), Emmy Award winner Gina London (Managing Director of The Pincus Group), Barbara McCarthy (Director of Engineering at Hubspot), Julie Meyer, MBE (CEO & Chairman of Ariadne Capital) and Joanna Reily (CEO and Co-founder at Censia), with more speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.
"Women challenge the status quo", says Cindy Gallop, a popular Dublin Tech Summit speaker in 2017, "because we are never it."
