EVENT: CULTURE NIGHT
The annual night celebrating culture, creativity and the arts returns for its 18th edition with a smorgasbord of cultural happenings of every imaginable shape and size across the entire country - RTÉ will join in the festivities with a live TV spectacular from Donegal on RTÉ One at 7pm featuring the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, with guest artists including Jessie Buckley, The Murder Capital, Aby Coulibaly and Olesya Zdorovetska. David vs. Goliath meets The Big Short in this entertaining true-life tale, based on the insane true story of everyday people who flipped the script on Wall Street and got rich by turning GameStop (yes, the videogame store) into the world's hottest company. The ensemble cast includes Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Nick Offerman, Pete Davidson, Shailene Woodley, Sebastian Stan and America Ferrara (Cinemas nationwide).
FESTIVAL: EARTH RISING
This four-day festival of free events and experiences is aimed at addressing the climate crisis and inspiring collective action towards a sustainable and hopeful future. The programme offers a diverse array of events, including over 50 artists and collaborators who will showcase their work via installations, screenings, workshops and tours; a talks stage that brings together influential voices in the fields of science, design and creativity, and a dedicated food-themed site curated by Bread Man Walking founder Gerry Godley and Lunchionette's Jennie Moran (IMMA, Dublin, 21 Sep – 24 Sep)
