To celebrate the life and work of composer John Kinsella, who has died aged 89, we're revisiting the Lyric Concert from 2019, presented by Paul Herriott live from the National Concert Hall, Dublin, which featured the world premiere of Kinsella's 11th Symphony, the culmination of his life-long love for the evocative soundworld of Sibelius - watch above.
The programme also features Sibelius' 3rd Symphony. Pianist Vadym Kholodenko also joins the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Jean Deroyer for a performance of Prokofiev's 3rd piano concerto.
