Miscellany50: The Archives is a theme-inspired series of hour long programmes featuring a selection of short writing first broadcast on Sunday Miscellany on RTÉ Radio 1. Themes include home life, water and the sea, work and character.

-Claire Madden by Catherine Marshall (2007) followed by Trois Gymnopedies (No. 1) by Erik Satie played by Bojan Gorisek
-The Loneliest Jazzman in the 20th Century by Michael Harding (1995) followed by The Entertainer by Scott Joplin, played on guitar by John Williams
-Uncles on New Year’s Days Long Ago by Val Mulkerns (1984) followed by Morning Gallop by Carl Hession performed by the West Ocean String Quartet
-B’é Seán Ó Riordáin an Fear by Liam Ó Muirthile (2007)
