Before she (very deservedly) won this year's Man Booker prize, Daragh Downes reviewed Milkman by Anna Burns for RTÉ's Arena - revisit his illuminating take on Burns' novel.

Set in a fictional version of late-1970s Belfast, Milkman tells the experience of an 18-year-old Catholic woman who finds herself subjected to unwanted romantic-sexual interest from an enigmatic figure known only as The Milkman.
