The man who made Alien, Thelma and Louise, Gladiator, The Martian and Blade Runner - director Ridley Scott - joined Brenda Donohue on The Ray D'Arcy Show to discuss his new movie.
Scott told Brenda he's amazed that Kevin Spacey never contacted him, after he dropped him from his new movie, kidnap thriller All The Money In The World.
He spoke about his relationship with money and family, as well as his love for Ireland and how he used to take his kids to Parknasilla, Co. Kerry.
Kevin Spacey was originally cast to play billionaire J. Paul Getty in the true-life thriller - he had already filmed all the scenes with Spacey before the allegations of sexual misconduct about him came to light. He told Brenda about his decision to drop Spacey as a result of the claims of sexual misconduct against the actor by multiple men and his decision to cut his scenes and replace him with veteran actor Christopher Plummer.

"You can’t tolerate any kind of behaviour like that. You can’t condone that kind of behaviour in any shape or form. We cannot let one person’s actions affect the good work of all these other people."
All The Money In The World in in cinemas nationwide now.
