    The greatest reductions were seen in electricity generation

    Reduction in industrial and power generation emissions

    Greenhouse gas emissions from Irish power generation and industrial companies covered by the EU Emissions Trading System decreased by 17% or 2.4 million tonnes last year, according to a new report from the European Commission and Environmental Protection Agency.

    Potato shortage looms as farmers face ongoing bad weather
