    Greenhouse gas sensors to monitor Dublin's emissions

    Twenty greenhouse gas sensors have been deployed across Dublin city as part of a year-long pilot project to measure and monitor emissions across the capital.

    UN concerned over asylum seekers without State shelter

    The UN's Refugee Agency has appealed to protesters opposed to asylum seeker accommodation in their areas to "consider the impact of their actions" as the number of new International Protection Applicants without State-provided shelter reached an all-time high.

    Two protests took place in Roscrea in Co Tipperary, amid continuing opposition to using a hotel on the outskirts of the town to house families seeking international protection.
