    Evidence has concluded in the case at Limerick Circuit Court in which Limerick All Star hurler Kyle Hayes is on trial accused of assaulting another man by punching him and stamping on his head outside a nightclub in Limerick on the October bank holiday weekend in 2019.

    Man saw group kick friend, Limerick assault trial hears

    A witness has told a trial at Limerick Circuit Court that he remembers seeing a group of men kicking and punching his friend Cillian McCarthy when he was on the ground outside the Icon nightclub in Limerick in the early hours of 28 October 2019.

    Plans for new Cork-Limerick road advance

    Plans for a new road between Cork and Limerick have advanced, with an announcement of the preferred corridor for the route made. A 200-metre wide corridor has been identified between both cities, in which the road would ultimately be constructed.
