    Inflation eased to 7.8% last month from 8.2% in December, new CSO figures show

    Annual rate of inflation slows to 7.8% in January - CSO

    The annual rate of inflation measured by the Consumer Price Index fell back to 7.8% in January from 8.2% in December, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show today.
