The Foreign Exchange Company of Ireland (FEXCO), based in Killorglin, County Kerry, has been appointed agents for the fastest international money transfer system in the world. The system is operated by Western Union, which has been providing telegraphic money transfers for more than one hundred and twenty years and was also involved in the first Europe-United States (US) cable laid from Valentia Island in 1873.
