Irish amateur boxing's governing body is to have funding restored as Minister for Sport Jack Chambers confirmed that Sport Ireland are satisfied with the governance reforms agreed to by the IABA since September.
Sport Ireland has announced a multi-year funding package for Irish athletes in the run-up to the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, with Rowing Ireland the chief beneficiary. But funding for 2022-2024 has yet to be confirmed for the IABA.
Sport Ireland will increase its investment in high performance sport by €1 million this year.
