Litrim's rising star Kate Gormley has been named the Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for January.
The 20-year-old was in sparkling form as Leitrim claimed maximum points from their opening three Lidl National League Division 4 fixtures.
A newcomer to the adult inter-county grade this year, Gormley - from the St Joseph’s club - has shone like a beacon.
In the month of January, Leitrim claimed victories over Longford and Offaly with Gormley to the fore.
In the opening-day win against Longford, she scored 1-06, and her goal was decisive as Leitrim followed up with another important victory, this time against Offaly in Round 2.
As Leitrim made it three from three last weekend, Gormley was on song again, notching three points in another impressive display against Sligo.
Leitrim have the coming weekend off as they prepare for Round 4 of the competition and a trip to Kilkenny on Sunday week.
