Former Armagh attacker Alex Clarke has signed a one-year deal with Scottish Women's Premier Division side Aberdeen.

The Crossmaglen native, younger sister of former Orchard star Jamie, moves from Irish League outfit Linfield where she was known for scoring some spectacular goals.

The 23-year-old scored nine times in 22 appearances for the Blues.

The Dons finished eighth in the regular season last term before finishing second out of six in the relegation round.

"It feels really great to be here," Clarke told the Aberdeen website.

"Linfield is a great club, I have developed a lot there, but I feel like it is time to move on and continue my progression as a player. It is great to be given this chance. This is an opportunity I couldn’t turn down."
