Kerry captain Síofra O'Shea has been named the Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month for February.
The Southern Gaels forward has been in magnificent form for the Kingdom this season, with Kerry booking their place in next month’s Division 1 final at Croke Park having won all five of their top-flight matches on the back of last year’s promotion.
Former underage star O’Shea has been central to her team’s efforts and starred in the victories over Donegal, Dublin and All-Ireland champions Meath.
The 21-year-old chipped in with 1-01 against Donegal before following that up with a haul of 1-2 as Kerry produced an impressive display to see off Dublin.
O’Shea also picked off a point in an all-round industrious display in the morale-boosting win over league holders Meath.
