Carnacon of Mayo and Cork’s Inch Rovers meet in a repeat of last year’s final and at their second time of asking, Rovers will be seeking revenge over Carnacon after defeat in their maiden appearance in this fixture by 11 points.
Both teams carry heavyweight names in Ladies' football, with Carnacon boasting nine senior county players including scoring sensation Cora Staunton.
Inch though possess an armoury that includes Cork captain Angela Walsh, together with Mary O’Connor and Amy O’Shea, who helped bring a fourth All-Ireland title in a row home in 2008.
All the elements should make for a very close game, but the Mayo ladies may be hungrier after falling short of their own expectations this year at inter-county level.
