Dak Prescott threw four touchdown passes as the Dallas Cowboys cruised past the Las Vegas Raiders 33–16, keeping their slim play-off hopes alive on a night when their late defensive lineman Marshawn Kneeland was remembered.
Kneeland was reported dead earlier this month, in what the Frisco Police Department in Texas described as an apparent suicide, after he ran from his car following a crash that occurred during a police pursuit.
The Raiders and Cowboys players paid their respects during the warm-up in Vegas by wearing shirts featuring Kneeland's face, while the Raiders' game jerseys included the number for a suicide prevention helpline.
When the action got under way, Prescott completed 25 of 44 passes for 288 yards to help the Cowboys improve to 4-5-1 on the season, with the Philadelphia Eagles among a tough stretch of opponents ahead.
Meanwhile, the Raiders fell to their eighth loss of a disappointing year.
