The Los Angeles Angels threw a no-hitter in a 13-0 demolition of the Seattle Mariners in their first home game since the death of pitcher Tyler Skaggs.
Taylor Cole struck out two in two innings and Felix Pena pitched seven innings, striking out six in the victory.
The Angels players wore Skaggs' number 45 jersey for the game, while a 45-second moment of silence was observed and his mother, Debbie Hetman, threw the first pitch.
Skaggs, who would have turned 28 this weekend, was found dead in a hotel room in Texas on July 1.
Mike Trout had a home run and two-run RBI double in the first as the Angels put seven on the board and followed up with a single-run RBI double in the fifth.
The Boston Red Sox saw off the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-1 in a rematch of last season's World Series.
Rafael Devers and Christian Vasquez both scored home runs, while Xander Bogaerts also found the fence in the ninth in the win.
