Farrell has joined Munster this season as a replacement for Antoine Frisch, who departed for Toulon in the summer.
The centre played more than 100 times for Connacht prior to joining Munster, whom he had been with since 2017.
The Dublin native previously came through Leinster's academy, before spells at London Irish and Bedford, and while he has never earned an Ireland cap, he was included in the Ireland squad for the 2019 Six Nations, before picking up an injury.
