The 22-year-old has moved up to his first senior contract this season, having worked his way up through Munster's academy.
Butler gained his rugby education at Ennis RFC in Clare, and now features for Young Munster when on duty in the All-Ireland League.
Made his Munster debut as a 19-year-old in the December 2021 Champions Cup game against Wasps, before going on to win an U20 Six Nations Grand Slam with Ireland in 2022.
