Buckley burst onto the scene in December 2021, when he scored a try and was awarded Player of the Match in Munster's famous Covid-19-effected clash with Wasps.
The hooker went on to make six further first team appearances that season, before being promoted to the senior squad.
The Corkman endured a difficult 2023/24 campaign, and didn't feature after the New Year's Day defeat to Connacht. A short-term loan deal to Australian side Randwick has afforded him gametime ahead of this season.
