Beirne has been an influential presence for Munster since joining from Scarlets in 2018, playing 76 times as of the 2024/25 season.
The versatile forward is comfortable both in the second and back row, and started every game for Ireland at the Rugby World Cup in France.
Having moved to an IRFU central contract in 2022, the Kildare native took over the province's captaincy from Peter O'Mahony last season.
