One of Munster’s most consistent performers in recent seasons, O’Donoghue has become one of the key leaders in the team, with more than 150 appearances for the province.
With nine tries in 23 games last season, he was voted the province's Player of the Year, following up on the Academy Plyer of the Year award he won in 2015.
The Waterford native has regulalry filled in as captain in the absence of Peter O'Mahony.
