Coombes played every game for Munster in the 2024/25 season, with 20 of those 25 appearances coming in the starting team, and he chipped in with seven tries.
At his best at the back of the scrum, the Skibbereen man has had to chip in at lock on several occasions in the last two seasons during some injury-laden periods for Grahm Rowntree's side.
Earned two caps for Ireland in the summer of 2021, but has been unable to add to that total, although had been a regular in Irish squads up until the summer of 2023.
