A former student of Blackrock College, where he won the Leinster Senior Cup, Clarkson also now lines out for Blackrock in the All-Ireland League, having previously played for Dublin University.
He was an ever-present in Ireland's U20 success in 2019.
Clarkson graduated from the academy to earn a place in the senior squad in 2021/22 and has made 41 appearances ahead of the 2024/25 season.
