Former Ulster hooker McBurney joins Connacht after spending the last three seasons at Edinburgh.
A member of the Ireland U20's that reached the 2016 World Championship final, McBurney made 43 appearances for Ulster before moving to Scotland in 2021.
Spent time on loan at Gloucester during the 2023/24 season.
