De Buitléar is in his second season as a member of the senior Connacht squad, after coming through the province's academy.
A younger brother of former Connacht centre Colm, he grew up playing rugby in An Ghaeltacht Rugbaí, a club his father founded in An Cheathrù Rua.
Scored a try on his debut for the province against Zebre in February 2022, and has played seven games for Connacht.
