Smith featured 13 times across the back-three for Connacht in his debut season, having previously come through the Leinster academy.
Between his spells at Leinster and Connacht, the wing spent time in the Ireland Sevens programme, and returned to the short form of the game briefly for the Summer Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
Smith played all three games for Ireland's U20 side in their truncated Six Nations campaign in 2020.
