Having joined from Leinster in 2022, Hawkshaw has been a steady performer with Connacht, playing 30 times and scoring four tries across his two seasons.
The versatile back came through the Leinster academy, and played 12 times for his native province before joining Connacht.
On the international scene Hawkshaw was captain of the Ireland U20s who won a Grand Slam in the 2019 Six Nations, playing alongside his current team-mates Niall Murray, Colm Reilly and Dylan Tierney-Martin.
