Dowling joined Connacht from Leinster in the summer of 2020, but a long-term injury meant he had to wait until February 2021 to make his first appearance out west.
The 6ft 5in versatile forward has now played 59 games for Connacht, with 15 appearances in the 2023/24 season.
He's still waiting for his first try in senior rugby.
