Munster have made eight changes to their side for Saturday's BKT United Rugby Championship trip to Benetton.

Tadhg Beirne captains the side, while frontline Ireland internationals Jack Crowley and Craig Casey are also in the starting team, as the province look to end a run of three successive defeats in all competitions.

Calvin Nash, Diarmuid Barron and Jean Kleyn all return from injury in the first XV, while Oli Jager and Brian Gleeson are also available again off the bench.

Jeremy Loughman is the only front row retained from the Challenge Cup defeat to Exeter Chiefs, with Diarmuid Barron replacing Lee Barron at hooker, and Michael Ala’alatoa coming in for John Ryan at tighthead.

Beirne is joined by Kleyn in the second row with Edwin Edogbo moving to the bench, while Tom Ahern and John Hodentt come into the back row, with Gavin Coombes continuing at number 8.

Casey and Crowley make up a first choice half-back partnership, with Alex Nankivell and Tom Farrell also selected again in the centre.

And head coach Clayton McMillan has changed his back-three, with Shane Daly coming in for Ben O’Connor at full-back, with Nash and Andrew Smith replacing Thaakir Abrahams and Diarmuid Kilgallen on the wings.

Munster come into the weekend seventh in the URC table, two points ahead of Connacht who sit just outside the play-off spots.
