Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw is available for Leinster for their opening game of the BKT United Rugby Championship, while Jordan Larmour, Will Connors and Brian Deeny may also make their returns from injury.
The quartet missed the latter stages of the province's successful URC campaign last season but have come through pre-season unscathed and are in line to play against the DHL Stormers on Friday night (6pm Irish time).
As reported last week, Ireland captain Caelan Doris (shoulder) and second row Joe McCarthy (foot) will be unavailable for the "first few rounds" of the league, while full-back Hugo Keenan (hip) is out for "up to three months".
Leinster finished top of the table in the regular season and went on to beat the Bulls in the final at Croke Park.
Stormers, who beat Leinster in their home fixture two years ago, ended up fifth in the standings.
"It's going to be a massive challenge," said senior coach Jacques Nienaber (above) of the meeting with John Dobson's men.
"There are so few teams who get a result at the Stormers.
"Last year we had a good result at the Aviva but we were 7-0 down after 40 minutes.
"Then we came back in the second half and the year before they put 40 on us so the Stormers are very tough, especially here in Cape Town."
Nienaber was among the Leinster coaches who recently confirmed extended deals at the province, ending speculation that he might be tempted for a return to South Africa, where he helped the team to two World Cups.
The former Springboks coach, who signed the contract back in spring, said: "I just felt personally for me and my family, professionally things were working for me at the moment, hence the decision to continue."
Meanwhile, head coach Leo Cullen also confirmed a short-term senior contract for prop Jerry Cahir (above).
The former Cistercian College, Roscrea forward has made a name for himself over the last few years in the Energia AIL, winning the Dublin University FC Player of the Year in 2024 and the Lansdowne FC Player of the Year in 2025.
He was involved with Leinster 'A' last season and was amongst the replacements in the IRFU 150 'A' Men's Interprovincial Championship Final against Ulster 'A', which Leinster won.
Cahir was involved over the pre-season training and came off the bench in the friendly against Cardiff two weeks ago.
