RG Snyman is in line for a return to action after being named on the Munster bench for their BKT United Rugby Championship clash against Scarlets on Friday evening (7.35pm, live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player).
The South African lock ruptured his ACL in October 2021 against the Scarlets. The 28-year-old had just returned from the same injury suffered on his Munster debut back in 2020.
Meanwhile, there are three personnel changes and one positional switch to the side that beat Ospreys two weeks ago.
Hooker Diarmuid Barron starts on his 50th Munster appearance as academy player Patrick Campbell and Calvin Nash also come into the side for the sold-out Musgrave Park tie.
Jack Crowley and Keynan Knox also come into the squad as replacements with academy pair Ethan Coughlan and Mark Donnelly keeping their places on the bench.
🔊 "If they can get RG Snyman back, and he stays fit, he's one of the best locks in the world..."
