Connacht prop Denis Buckley will remain at the province for at least two more years, after agreeing a contract extension in Galway.
The province say the loosehead has signed a two-year deal, with the option of a third, which could see him stay at the Sportsground until 2026.
The 32-year-old is one of the longest-serving players in their history, playing 223 times since his debut in 2011, with only Kieran Marmion, Michael Swift and John Muldoon wearing the green jersey more than the Roscommon native.
"Connacht is a special place to me so I'm delighted to be staying for another few years," he said.
"The Sportsground will change a lot over that time so I’m excited to see the development take place and play my part in that on the field."
Buckley was an integral member of the squad that won a Pro12 title in 2016, although missed out on the final due to injury, and has represented Ireland U20, Emerging Ireland and the Barbarians during his career.
He recovered from a serious knee in 2021 to play eight times in the second half of last season, but has been almost ever-present for the province in the current campaign, featuring in all but one of their URC games to date.
"Denis brings a wealth of experience to our front row," added director of rugby Andy Friend.
"He's a top-class scrummager and has seen a lot of change at the club since his debut over 10 years ago. He still has a lot to give Connacht both on and off the field, so securing his services for the next few years is a great boost to the province."
