Munster and Leinster have called upon 11 of Ireland's Six Nations squad to start in Saturday's United Rugby Championship clash at Thomond Park (7pm, live on RTÉ).

A week out from their Champions Cup round-of-16 ties against Exeter and Connacht respectively, the head coaches have loaded up for their first meeting in almost a year.

As part of nine changes to the side that hammered Benetton last Friday, Johann van Graan has recalled half-backs Conor Murray and Joey Carbery and flanker Peter O’Mahony, who captains the team.

The hosts, however, will be without Tadhg Beirne, Dave Kilcoyne, Andrew Conway and Simon Zebo through injury.

Gavin Coombes, who signed a new contract until 2025 this week, starts at No 8 on his 50th appearance for Munster.

Calvin Nash, Chris Farrell, Chris Cloete, Jason Jenkins, Jeremy Loughman and Niall Scannell start, while replacements Thomas Ahern and Keith Earls are both set for their first appearances since January after recovering from their respective injuries.

Matt Gallagher is named at full-back with Nash and Shane Daly, who switches to the left wing, on either flank.

Damian de Allende, who will leave the club at the end of the season, moves to inside centre as Chris Farrell returns to the side at 13.

Jeremy Loughman, who recently earned his first international call-up, Niall Scannell and Stephen Archer pack down in the front row.

Jason Jenkins makes his first start for Munster in the second row alongside Fineen Wycherley, who starts his eighth game in succession.

Leinster boss Leo Cullen has included Hugo Keenan, Garry Ringrose, Robbie Henshaw, James Lowe and Jamison Gibson-Park in his backline, while the back row is Caelan Doris, Josh van der Flier and Jack Conan.

Ireland captain Johnny Sexton is rested with Ross Byrne, having recovered from a dental injury suffered during last weekend’s 45-8 win over Connacht, to start at out-half.

The front row sees one change with Ed Byrne replacing Peter Dooley to join James Tracy and Michael Ala’alatoa.

Jack Dunne makes his first start of the season in the second row where he links up with Devin Toner.

Ireland forwards Dan Sheehan, Cian Healy and Tadhg Furlong are among the replacements.
