Jannik Sinner completed the 'Sunshine Double' by beating the Czech Republic’s Jiri Lehecka 6-4 6-4 in the Miami Open final.

World number two Sinner became the first man since Roger Federer in 2017 and only the eighth in history to win back-to-back titles at Indian Wells and Miami.

The 24-year-old Italian, who beat Daniil Medvedev last week for his first Indian Wells crown, endured a lengthy rain delay en route to securing his second Miami title.

Lehecka lost his serve for the first time in the tournament to trail 3-1 in the opening set and saved two set points at 5-3 down before Sinner served out to take it in 47 minutes.

Play was suspended for 80 minutes just three points into the second set, but the delay did nothing to dampen Sinner’s clinical performance.

He did not face a break point as he swept through the second set, wrapping up the title in 93 minutes.
