Daniil Medvedev claimed his second straight Masters Series title with a 6-4 6-1 win over Alexander Zverev in Shanghai.
The 23-year-old Russian fended off five of six break points to secure his first win over Zverev in five attempts.
Medvedev, who was competing in his sixth straight tournament final, also won the Rogers Cup in Montreal in August.

Medvedev told atptour.com: "It's something outrageous that I've done in the past few months and I have been working for it.
"Everybody is talking that they need new guys, something new, so I gave them something new. I don't celebrate my wins, I just stay calm, I do my job.
"I think I became a better player than I was even in the beginning of the year, and that's why some of these results can change like this."
Medvedev controlled the final from the start, immediately breaking Zverev's serve to establish a 3-0 lead, only to squander his early advantage as his opponent clawed back to 3-3.
Medvedev regained the advantage when Zverev double-faulted twice in succession to hand his opponent the opening set, and there was no looking back for the in-form Russian.
He reeled off five games in a row before Zverev got back on the scoreboard, then proceeded to close out another victory with his fourth ace of the match.
Zverev, who was aiming to win his fourth Masters title, admitted: "He is a different player now. I feel like I'm playing well and am on a very good path again, but obviously I have to be on this path for a longer period of time."
