There will be a first WTA Tour title for either Spain's Silvia Soler-Espinosa or fifth seed Irina Falconi in Sunday's Claro Open Colsanitas final.
World number 170 Soler-Espinosa reached the final in Bogota by beating Brazilian Paula Cristina Goncalves 6-4 6-7 (4/7) 6-2 in just under two-and-a-half hours.
She will face Falconi next after the United States player saw off in-form Lara Arruabarrena 6-3 4-6 6-2 in her semi-final.
Arruabarrena had dropped just five games in three matches on her way to the last four but bounced back from the defeat in the evening to lift the doubles title alongside Tatjana Maria.
