Irish tennis number one James McGee has won his first round qualifier at the French Open.
The 26-year-old Dubliner, who is ranked 244 in the world, defeated Norbert Gombos from Slovakia, ranked 82 places higher (162) 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
There are three qualifying rounds before the first round proper of the French Open, which begins on 25 May.
