World number one Rafael Nadal will face world number two Novak Djokovic in the final of the Sony Open in Miami after both players progressed without playing a shot on Friday's semi-final day.
Djokovic progressed after his semi-final opponent Kei Nishikori withdrew due to a groin injury before Nadal's place in Sunday's showpiece was confirmed later in the day when his opponent Tomas Berdych pulled out due to gastroenteritis.
The 24-year-old Nishikori needed three sets to defeat both Roger Federer and David Ferrer on consecutive days to progress to the final four but was unable to recover from a groin problem in order to face Djokovic on Friday.
Nishikori announced his withdrawal from the tournament on his Facebook page.
He said: "Very sorry to say that I have to pull out today. Very disappointed and I am obviously very sorry for any fans that wanted to come out for this match.
"This tournament is very special to me and I look forward to coming back in the years to come. I will work with my medical team to be back healthy as soon as possible."
Djokovic is aiming to win the Indian Wells-Miami double for the second time after he defeated Federer in the first tournament two weeks ago.
He will now face Spaniard Nadal following Berdych's withdrawal, with the duo contesting the Sony Open final for the second time.
