Ireland’s Barry King and James McGee have both qualified for the semi-finals of the Green Property Men’s Irish Open $15,000 Futures event after quarter-final wins at Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club.
James McGee recorded a comfortable 7-5 6-2 win against Britain’s Marcus Willis after the tournament was forced indoors due to heavy rain at 3pm.
Later in the evening, Davis Cup hero Barry King continued his recent good form when he defeated fourth seed Michael Look from Australia 4-6 6-3 7-6(7/6).
The Irish Open runs to the 23 July and admission is free each day.
