Conor Niland's run Shelbourne Men's Irish Open was ended on Friday evening by Rohan Bopanna of India.

The 25-year-old Limerickman produced several excellent displays on his way to the Semi Final of the ATP Challenger event, but he was second best to Bopanna all match.

After a solid start by both players the Indian returned to the court
following a first set rain delay leading 4/3 and quickly broke Niland's serve to secure the set 6/4.

The players exchanged service breaks at the start of the second set but Niland was once again broken in the tenth game of the set to give Bopanna at 6/4, 6/4 victory.

Bopanna will meet Martin Pedersen - who defeated Irish number one Louk Sorensen in the Quarter Final - in tomorrow's Final after the Danish qualifier defeated Colin Ebelthite from Australia 7/6(4), 7/6(2).

Order of Play for Saturday, 7 July:
3.00PM Shelbourne Men's Irish Open Final
