Roger Federer booked his place in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters for the second year running on Saturday with a straight-sets win over Juan Carlos Ferrero.
The Swiss world number one survived two break points when trailing 3-1 in the first set before stamping his authority on the Spaniard and easing to a 6-3 6-4 win.
The triumph was Federer's seventh against Ferrero in 10 meetings, and leaves the 25-year-old on course to claim his first Monte Carlo title.
