Andrew Murray and James Auckland were knocked out of the men's doubles at the French Open this morning.

The British pair were well beaten by the top seeds, brothers Bob and Mike Bryan from the United States.

Murray, 19, and Auckland, 26, had defeated Australians Ashley Fisher and Jordan Kerr in their opener, but they proved no match for the Americans in the second round, losing 6-1 6-3.

Defeat in the doubles for Murray completed a disappointing tournament for the Scottish teenager, who lost a five-set match in the first round of the men's singles to French player Gael Monfils.
