World number nine and top seed Ivan Ljubicic reached the final of the Chennai Open with a 6-3 3-6 7-6 victory over Kristof Vliegen of Belgium.
The Croat will meet twice defending champion Carlos Moya of Spain later today.
The semi-final resumed with Ljubicic leading 3-1 in the first set after play had been abandoned overnight due to rain.
Ljubicic, who led his country to their maiden Davis Cup title last year, displayed stronger nerves in the decider.
Vliegen, ranked 93 in the world, beat last year's runner-up and fourth seed Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand in the quarter-finals.
Third seed Moya, a former French Open champion, stayed in line for a rare hat-trick of titles, with a tough three set victory over second seed Czech Radek Stepanek on Saturday.
