Andy Murray will get his big chance to score a hugely symbolic victory over British number one Tim Henman in the Davidoff Swiss Indoors in Basle this week.
Murray and Henman will meet for the first time in a first-round match scheduled for Wednesday with the young Scot relishing his chance to make a big impression.
Murray has swept to within 42 places of Henman in the world rankings and the 18-year-old has gone beyond the first round in all five of the top-level tournaments he has entered since making his mark at Wimbledon.
His form has been in contrast to Henman's sharp decline. Henman has slumped out of the world top ten, winning only three matches since his shock second-round loss to Dmitry Tursunov at Wimbledon.
However, the 31-year-old is unlikely to be fazed by the prospect of facing a fellow Briton who is eager to claim his number one position.
The Oxford-born player has won seven of his nine meetings with the current British number two Greg Rusedski and will be determined not to give up his hard-earned status without a fight.
The winner of the eagerly anticipated all-British encounter will play either Tomas Berdych or George Bastl in round two.
