Russia's Elena Dementieva accused France's Mary Pierce of using gamesmanship to win their US Open semi-final.
The 30-year-old Pierce lost the first set 3-6 with Dementieva well on top when she used up nearly 12 minutes at the changeover to treat injuries to her thigh and back.
When they finally got back to action Pierce took control and won the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 to reach her first US Open final in 13 attempts.
