French Open champion Rafael Nadal won the 2.45 million-dollar Montreal Masters Series title yesterday with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 victory over Andre Agassi.
Nadal, the world number two and top seed, captured the 10th title of his career and his ninth this season.
The 19-year-old also claimed his third triumph of the year in the prestigious Masters Series, after victories on clay in Rome and Monte Carlo.
Agassi, 35, came into the final seeking his second straight ATP title, after his victory in Los Angeles on July 31.
But his experience proved no match for the sensational Spaniard, who denied Agassi a fourth Canadian title after triumphs in 1992, 1994 and 1995.
