The Bryan brothers needed just an hour and 39 minutes to breathe some life into the American Davis Cup challenge as they swept aside hosts Spain in yesterday's doubles.
Juan Carlos Ferrero and Tommy Robredo were no match, losing to Bob and Mike Bryan 6-0 6-3 6-2.
Now the United States, trailing 2-1 in the final because of defeats in both of Friday's singles contests, will be hoping that Andy Roddick can bounce back from his surprise defeat to Rafael Nadal and beat Carlos Moya today to take the final to a deciding fifth rubber.
Should that happen, Olympic silver medallist Mardy Fish will take on 18-year-old Nadal, new to the top 50 this year, in what would become the decider.
