Fourth seeded Lindsay Davenport won her third title in as many weeks with a 6-1 6-1, 47 minute demolition of French Open champion Anastasia Myskina to win the Acura Classic in San Diego last night.
Davenport stretched her winning streak to 14 matches as she captured all three legs of the California hardcourt season despite suffering a jammed right knee in her semi-final victory over another Russian, fifth seed Elena Dementieva, on Saturday.
The former world number one beat Venus Williams and younger sister Serena at the Bank of the West Classic and the JP Morgan Chase Open on consecutive Sundays before hoisting her 43rd career trophy under sunny and breezy skies at the La Costa Hotel and Spa.
